Acne is a common skin problem that most teenagers suffer from that is caused when a build-up of excess oil secretion form in the sebaceous glands that fail to escape through the pores of the skin.


Skin specialists also recognize that hormonal imbalances and stress related factors may also be responsible in the formation of acne.

While in its milder form, it is capable of causing inflammations or swellings on the skin.

They can also split and spread over greater areas and swell to form cysts or “Nodulocystic” acne.

Acne is probably the easiest form to treat and can also clear up by themselves as the young youth progresses through their teen years.

Some teens will resort to home maid cures that do actually work like using tooth paste to dry up the areas. Make sure it is paste and not gel as this is not so effective.

The other ways you can use to help your skin condition are natural products that are made up of plant extracts that do not contain any harmful chemicals.

These can come in the form of pastes or creams that you spread over the affected areas that will help dry and sooth. You can also take oral treatments that work from the inside out.

The use of Red and blue light technology that come in hand held devices or stand up models are also used in the fight against acne. It is a matter of finding out what works for you.

If you are unsure about anything or need advice you should always contact your doctor or skin specialist to advise you first. If not you could be making the situation a lot worse if you start using something that is not suitable.

If for any reason you are using anything whether it is prescribed by your doctor or not and you find it is making things worse, then stop using it immediately and seek out medical advice as soon as possible.

Acne can be a problem but do not let it rule your life.
